It's time for Fossil Talk, with your host, Ed Welsh.
A couple videos of Ed talking fossils. Will update with more when I find time to get them uploaded.
Important note for anyone who may some day visit Badlands: fossils are not to be picked up and handled by visitors. Ed is a park paleontologist: he can touch, show, and share with others because he knows what he is looking at and how to properly handle fossils. It sounds like it is really rare for a paleontologist here to be so interested in bringing others along to hunt fossils. I am so lucky to be here, now.
The first video is from Thursday out at yellow mounds. Rated PG for language use. :)
The second is from Friday, talking about the rabbit mandible I found.
